Lupe Fiasco, Kenna, Jessica Biel, and others climbed Mount Kilimanjaro recently to raise to awareness of the global water crisis. Your probably wondering what do they have to do with each other. Well, sometimes people do weird shit to get attention i.e. people walk in circles for days to raise money for cancer. (c) Julian G. So what is it that we need to know about the water crisis?? Well here are some not so fun facts.

• 3.575 million people die each year from water-related disease. (11)
• 43% of water-related deaths are due to diarrhea. (11)
• 84% of water-related deaths are in children ages 0 – 14. (11)
• 98% of water-related deaths occur in the developing world. (11)
• 884 million people, lack access to safe water supplies, approximately one in eight people. (5)
• The water and sanitation crisis claims more lives through disease than any war claims through guns. (1)
• At any given time, half of the world’s hospital beds are occupied by patients suffering from a water-related disease. (1)
• Less than 1% of the world’s fresh water (or about 0.007% of all water on earth) is readily accessible for direct human use. (12)

I know its been awhile ya'll but this is what happens when you join the real world. In any event, I will be posting more frequently form here on out. Here is something I thought you guys would enjoy. My friends and I argue constantly about who's hot and who's wack. I personally am a fan of the undergrounds' underground. Right now I listen to a lot of Lupe, Blu, Jay Electronica, J.Cole,  and K'naan. I'm a fan lyricists. So the other artists that I may pay attention to all tend to be lyricists. As much as people hate..Drake can flat out rap. Lyrically he's better than a lot of people. Fab is another one..not so much lately, but Fab is a lyricist. Period! I respect lyricists.

But does that make a good song? I finally got around to listening to Kid Cudi...and he is not a lyricist...AT ALL....at least not in my book...But he puts so much emotion behind his music..you can't ignore it. his album strait through it very dope. So is it "emotion" that makes a record dope?? Some of the best albums were driven off of pure emotions regarding content

Gnarls Barkley- St Elsewhere and Kanye-808 and Heartbreak stick out in my mind at the moment.
